Here’s a shot of Mrs. Pix and our friend Ron from a night at a No-Tell Motel. At first glance it looks “blurry”, but if you look a little more carefully, you can see that the photo as a whole is actually in focus; the blurs in parts of it are due to the “action” going on – Ron flicking her nipple while she gives him a vigorous hand job.
We have quite a few shots from this night, most of them having this mixed focused/blurry character. That’s because the lighting was poor and the action was constant. I knew many would be bad, so I clicked furiously hoping to "get lucky" here and there. Most shots were unposed, unmetered, grabbing on the fly whatever the auto settings could manage. To me, this makes for some nice effects, capturing mood more than details. Less “studio” and more “you are there”.
